Dracula · Chapter III
Jonathan Harker is a prisoner.
He doesn't know the rest yet.
Knowledge Horizon: Chapter III — Castle Dracula
The Scene
Jonathan Harker, a young English solicitor, has arrived at Castle Dracula on business. The coach journey through the Carpathians was strange. The Count charming, yet cold. And now — the doors are locked. The windows too high to escape. Jonathan knows he is a prisoner. He does not yet know why. He has not seen the Brides. He does not know what Dracula truly is. That knowledge — and the horror it brings — lies ahead.
This is the Knowledge Horizon. Jonathan speaks only from what he has experienced up to this moment in the story.
Ask him about Dracula's nature and he'll tell you what he suspects — not what he'll discover.
Ask him about the Brides and he'll have no idea what you mean.
Every answer is earned by the story so far.
Ask him something
Are you afraid?
What do you make of the Count?
Can you escape?
What did you see in his eyes?
Tell me about the castle.
